Food, coffee and shops

You can buy hot drinks and snacks at the shop by the main reception on Level 5. This is run by the Women’s Royal Voluntary Services (WRVS).

The Waves Restaurant and Subway outlet is next to the children’s hospital and is open seven days a week. Opening hours are 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 4pm weekends and Bank Holidays. A variety of snacks, cakes and hot and cold drinks are available throughout the day and meals can be taken away.

Vending machines selling hot and cold drinks and snacks can be found on every floor.

You can also buy snacks and cold drinks at the WHSmith shop to the left of the children’s hospital entrance. It sells newspapers, magazines, snacks and a few toys. Opening hours are 8am to 7pm weekdays and 8am to 2pm weekends.

There is a Costa Coffee shop on the main hospital site which sells coffee, fresh baguettes, Danish pastries and cakes. Opening hours are 8am to 4pm.

There is a newsagent in the main Eastern Road entrance of the Royal Sussex County Hospital which is open daily from 8am to 8pm.

A cash-point machine is situated in the building next to the children’s hospital with the Waves restaurant and Subway.
